In January, I had a chance to visit New York City with some loved ones. One recurring theme of the trip was the number twenty one. In NYC, we found ourselves having dinner at 21 Club on January 21 of all things. The next night our coat check number was even 21.
Charles Dubow at 21 Club, he and his lovely wife Melinda, as well as his children William and Lally were our gracious hosts. Never before have I felt so welcome staying in someone’s home so quickly.
It is always nice, when you can dream to go to a place and it actually meets or exceeds your expectations. My trip to New York City was a very positive trip for myself. Its hard to have a bad time, when great people are there with you, and are letting you stay in their home as if it were your very own. As a person who captures important moments for other people, this trip was one of those where I want to have photographs of something so dear to my own heart.
